Norbit!
I don’t know how some people can watch Norbit and later say that it was a lousy movie. I am certain that these people are the same guys who take themselves too seriously and go insane over a couple of cartoons.
I watched Norbit today with Choon How, Chu Hon and Yong Liang and I have to say that it was a barrel of laughs. Eddie Murphy is always funny. Be it in the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s or anytime in the future, the man will always be a class act. I love him. I aspire to be as big as him.
Anyway after watching Norbit, we all went home but not before me and Choon How stopped by to have a chat with Daryl Lai. It was an enlightening one, I believe. And hope.
Anyway, tomorrow we ought to finish Chu and the Gang! So yay! Everyone (if there indeed is anyone) be on the look out for it on Youtube.com!!!!! It’ll be under the user gameboy1990.

Another day…
Today Chu Hon, Choon How and myself went down to orchard to chill. And we did so with ease. We spent the day walking around, listening to music at the HMV and shooting some pool. After which we had some food. Obviously. How is a day out for the three of us complete without any food.
So anyway, we all made plans to see Norbit tomorrow. It has to be hillarious. It’s Eddie Murphy, I expect nothing less from that dude. He’s the bomb, as Randy Jackson would say.
You know, I never quite understood how a person can love another so much and yet hate him so much. The hate subsides somehow though, but the love, ah, that has never wavered.
So I must apologize for the crap entries I’ve been churning out lately. I’ve just been under the weather. I’ll try to write an entertaining narrative of my day tomorrow. But till then, I am Saiful Saleem and you’ve been reading Seriously? …
Goodnight everyone.

Chippy day…
A chippy day involves choonhow. Choonhow came today with Chu Hon for some filming and that we did with gusto. We are now near the end of the entire production and could release Chu and the Gang very very soon. Choonhow was very cute today, as always, and we have managed to capture some of his cuteness on camera. Pictures are provided at the end of this post, courtesy of Chu Hon.
After filming, me and Chu met Yong Liang, and the three of us paid a visit to our ex-form teacher, Ms. Chin. Very fun. Sit down, eat goodies, drink and talk talk talk. We spent 3 hours just talking. Incredible. So after that, we all went home and here I am now ready to sleep.
BUT FIRST:
So cute ah?
GOODNIGHT!
What is a Choon how,
Ask some.
Well for starters, he’s lots of fun.
How?
Because he’s quite mad!

It ain’t over till Chu Hon sings…
The day started very early for me. I was out of the house at 8 A.M. The soccer gang met today to play soccer. And we basically spent the whole morning playing. Then, like other soccer days, the rest of the day was a blur. Very boring nowadays. Ahh….
Well tomorrow got some more filming. So some fun there. I wish I could make a living out of acting and directing. No, actually I will make a living out of the arts. I will.
So Chu and the Gang gonna come out on youtube soon. If we manage to film tomorrow.
Some random pictures to make sure no one dies of boredom:
At Trudeau Avenue in Mississauga. Trudeau was a great PM, the kind of leader we need more in the world.
Sitting in Toronto, near the CN tower.
And that’s it people. Goodnight.

Blah…
Blah. That just about sums up the day. Infact these days have all been blah. And why am I always writing around midnight!?!? It’s uncanny!
Anyway today chairman brought some of us to visit our ex-chem teacher, Roy, at his house. His mom cooked for us. And boy did we eat. Chu Hon went on a rampage when he saw the Chicken wings. Eu Wei and Edwin pretended to be innocent but when no one was looking they whacked the food like nobody’s business. Yong Liang, the chairman, was the biggest culprit. We also watched some shows while we were there. South park and American pie. Both were quite good actually. South park had some interesting political connotations.
So tomorrow the soccer gang’s gonna be playing once more. And when I called Choon How to remind him, he irritated me. He always upsets me when he just wakes up. He sounds so weird and grumpy. But luckily I like him too much to mind.
So I guess its goodnight.
Bon nuit,
Said Chu Hon,
When He was in Deustchland.
The Germans laughed at him.
Cos he thought they spoke French , it seems!
What a bad few lines!!!!

Raspberry Beret!
Oh that Prince was really good. I love Raspberry Beret. Heard it on the radio just now and its stuck in my head. Ah… Well today was fine, just fine. I went to Clementi Woods Secondary with Yong Liang And Chu Hon to meet some of our former teachers but it was not to be. Upon reaching the school (after getting lost once) we found out that all the teachers were having a meeting. How upsetting. Then it began to rain.
It seems that was all that happened today. A boring day. Well anyway here are some random pictures to spice things up!!!
What a couple we make! Hahaha… just kidding Chu…
Isn’t he the cutest thing ever!?!?!

Drama Queen’s day…
What a day it has been.
Did some acting,
Editing,
Sleeping and
oh the thing’s I’ve seen.
And now poetry.
How fun.
I know it’s been done,
But not by me,
And surely not like this.
Woke up at 10 or 11.
Tried to at 7.
Just like yesterday,
I failed.
But I tried, eh?
So anyway,
I had a nice day.
Met with Choon How,
and Chu Hon.
We danced on my front lawn.
And I mean that quite literally. We met at my house to do some filming for an upcoming short film called Chu and the Gang. I’ve already sorted the footage from today’s session and edited it. It looks pretty good and I hope that by next week, we’ll have it on youtube. It’s gonna be great.
Chu Hon was great today, turning in his usual top-notch performance and Choon How, who has replaced Hui Wen in the 4/1 Really Low Budget Productions, prooved to be a godsend. He was magnificent! His handling of the camera was remarkable and he displayed talent in cinematography. He also provided great creative input.
Chu Hon and Choon How (a.k.a chipmunk) played some pool after filming and I joined them afterwards as well, beating Chu comprehensively. Haha… Sorry Chu.
Well, it’s the 22nd now and that’s just another chalked up. Another day closer. Closer to the next day, the next week, the next big event and closer to death. And that’s the end of the journey; death. Or could it be the start. Who knows? Maybe God, if he exists.
Does he exist?
Does it matter,
Need it matter.
Need we believe?
Would it mean relief?
Anyway, I am gonna be going to watch the telly for a bit then I am off to bed.
I am off to bed,
Not dead,
Just resting,
For the onslaught,
Of another day.
Goodnight everyone!

Time waits for the butterfly
7 a.m – a terrible ringing sound awoke me from my dreamless sleep. I tried to ignore it but it seemed to be getting louder and louder. Cursing, I began to look for the source of the annoyance. Rummaging through my bed, which was cluttered with a hat, a book, two pillows, two cushions, a blanket and myself, I soon found the terrible thing that disturbed my sleep. It was my cellphone. I began to realise that I had brought this upon myself. Before I went to sleep last night, I set the alarm in an ambitious but foolish attempt to wake up early. Anyway I went back to sleep.
Three hours later I woke up, again to thanks to the cellphone. But this time it was not the alarm. It was worse than any alarm. It was Chu Hon.
”Hello,” I said, trying to sound remotely awake.
“Sleeping, huh?” Chu Hon replied.
“No.” I lied.
“Rubbish,” was his response.
He proceeded to inform me that we were going to meet later at 11 to go to the gym with Choon How.
Last night we had made plans to go to the gym at 10 in the morning. No wonder I set my alarm. But why 7? I must have been mad.
A little after 11 a.m, we entered the gym and began gyming. Now gyming is not a very thrilling experience. It involves tiring yourself out. And the goal was soon achieved. The three of us were bloody tired. We went to get some food and then we all went home. It was then the real drama began.
I started to watch the telly. There was some show starring the Rock and I must say he is one fit man. But not my kind of man. He’s too muscular in my opinion. That’s a turn-off for me right there.
After watching that show, I started to read a book. A mighty good book too. It was about a family. A perfect family. Except the father’s gay. It was such a touching story. It also brought to light the various plights of the gay community.
That’s where all things of consequence ended for me. The day ended right there. Everything after that is just a vague blurry memory of me wandering around, like a zombie, searching for snacks.
And so, goodnight everyone.
If there is anyone. Do people actually read my blog, one has to wonder…

A day in the life…
Today was a strange day. It was more than that though. Today was a day of many emotions. Anger, joy, hatred, resentment, you name it, I felt it. But then again, aren’t all days like that? But its not everyday, your best friend (Chu Hon) says to you in the middle of the night on MSN messenger, “Lets each start a blog.”
Chu hon’s not the kind of guy i’d expect to keep a blog or a journal, so this was a bit out of character. I said as much to him.
“Chu what are you talking? is this CHU HON? MY CHU HON? since when u like blogs” I asked with as much calm as I could muster.
“Must try wat” Was his eloquent reply and somehow, we started our own blogs. He on blogger.com and me on this wordpress.com (because I had to be different). So anyway, today I, with Yong Liang and Chu Hon went to a friends chinese new year open house. This friend is Eu Wei (pronounced youway). His mother gave us hong baos. $4 bucks + food for one visit, not bad eh? But ofcourse none of us visited him merely for the food, we visited him as we are good friends to him. Atleast thats what our PR people say.
So after we left euwei’s house, yong went back home and me and chu, not wanting to go home just yet decided to go to Ghim Moh to, ah, chill. We called Daryl but he was busy watching the telly and only Choon How could meet us in Ghim Moh. But Choon How was more than able to make up for Daryl’s absence. We had some drinks and some food while chatting and later decided to head to the mall.
That’s where the real drama of the day started. No wait, I believe the drama was after that, when we left the mall. Nothing really happened in the mall other than us shooting some pool and eating (again). It was when we left that the drama started. After Chu Hon left to take a bus home, me and choon how decided to take the train and were on it when I decided to call Hui Wen (a guy who I used to produce films with) to remind him that we had a filming date on Sunday. I called his house but there was no answer. Then I called his cellphone. He answered.
“Hey huiwen,” I said. “Hewwo,” He slurred back.
“Are you at home?” I asked.
“Ya…” He replied as though I had asked if he was human.
“So how come you didn’t answer the home phone?” Curiousity had struck.
“Been busy.” He said curtly.
“Ah, with what?” Once again curiousity could not be overcome.
“With stuff. Ok, bye.” He said rudely.
“What – no hold on. I wanna ask you if you’re gonna be coming down on Sunday for filming that soccer thing?”
“Ah sunday, ah? Cannot lah.” He replied after agreeing to help out not a week ago.
I asked him why but he muttered something about sleeping and thats when I got angry. I mean you promise to do something and then you back out not caring that you’re leaving someone else short on options. That’s bloody selfish. And the thing is this isn’t the first time he’s done something like this. He’s done this to me a good few times. And that’s why I’ve decided to sever ties with him. I can’t trust the lad. I can’t be friends with a guy I can’t trust. That’s just not right in my mind. I told him as much, although choonhow tried to stop me saying that I might regret it. But here I am at the end of the day and I don’t regret it.
Anyway, after I got home in the evening, I didn’t really do much but laze around. I had a few conversations on MSN messenger, speaking to Wen Jie, Fatin and Chu Hon but that’s the extent of it all. A mighty boring time, you might say. And you might be right.
As I spoke to chu hon on MSN after creating our respective blogs, he began to talk about the length of what he was writing. He said he was nowhere near done and it was already very long.
His actual words were, “i think i going to write an essay out man.”“A Novel!!!” He exclaimed.
“Good what. Then sell, make money.” I replied happily.
A short pause. “Then give me some. Half.” I said expectantly not expecting his short but effective reply.
“Crazy,” He said. And if he said it in person, I believe he would have injected a lot of emotion into that word. He gets a tad emotional over me.
And that was the end of discussion. No money making venture involving a novel for us.
Well, I’m sure other doors are still open though.
So till next time, I am Saiful Saleem and this has been A WASTE OF TIME. Nah, I’m kidding. Since when is reading such entertaining lines considered a waste? This has been a day in the life…
Goodnight everyone, I am sleepy. Its past midnight.
